About This Ministry
The middle years of childhood are full of growth, questions, and a deepening sense of identity, and JOY is built to meet students right in the middle of all of it. This ministry provides children in third through sixth grade with opportunities to grow in their Orthodox faith through fellowship, service, learning, and activities that are both meaningful and genuinely enjoyable. Participants gather in a faith-centered environment that encourages spiritual growth, honest questions, and active involvement in parish life. JOY helps bridge the important gap between early childhood and adolescence by giving students a community they can count on and a faith they can begin to call their own. The friendships formed here often become some of the most lasting relationships of a young person’s life. Through JOY, children grow closer to Christ and to one another in ways that prepare them for the years ahead.
